    Chief Executive Officer

    Hugh brings a wealth of expertise in implantable electronics as the principal investigator for the Laboratory of Implantable Microsystems Research and an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue. At Rescue Biomedical, Hugh provides strategic direction, including driving innovation, shaping the company's culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and orchestrating the seamless translation of cutting-edge research into impactful biotech solutions.

    Director of Business Development

    Alongside pursuing an MBA degree at the Jones Graduate School of Business, Vy is spearheading the business development at Rescue Biomedical, including leading the team in both regional and national i-Corps programs. With a keen focus on developing a solution that meets patients’ needs, Vy is instrumental in conducting meticulous market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors, as well as curating strategic partnerships to ensure effective delivery of the solution.

    Director of Regulatory Affairs

    Danelle holds a master’s in biomedical engineering. With her two certifications, including a White Belt in Six Sigma for continuous quality improvement and a Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Science for Medical Devices Certification, Danelle is well-equipped to lead our regulatory efforts. In her role, she oversees the regulatory pathway and ensures our startup operates in strict compliance with industry standards, fostering trust and integrity in our biotech innovations.

    Co-Founder

    As an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue, Jackie brings expertise in developing diagnostic and monitoring devices that address critical health challenges. She is committed to developing innovative point-of-care diagnostics and wearables, focusing on addressing healthcare disparities among underserved populations. Having found two other companies, Jackie brings a wealth of entrepreneurial and technical acumen to drive our biotech startup's mission forward.

  • CRAIG GOERGEN

    Co-Founder

    Craig holds the position as an Associate Professor at Purdue, where he also serves as the Director of Clinical Programs in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, as well as an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. With his specialized expertise in animal evaluation models, Craig plays a pivotal role in advancing our biotech startup's mission, bridging the realms of academia and clinical innovation at the forefront of biotechnology.

    Co-Founder

    Chi Hwan currently holds positions as an Associate Professor in both Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at Purdue. With a distinct focus on non-invasive and unobtrusive wearable electronics, Chi Hwan brings a unique perspective to our startup's innovation. His research interests span printing technology, scalable manufacturing, and flexible/stretchable electronics materials, complementing his entrepreneurial experience as the founder of two other companies.
